The second week of All Schools at Doncaster saw some impressive running from Doncaster athletes, competing for their schools. Despite the terrible conditions, twenty four DAC athletes competed across seven events over two days with four gold, seven silver and one bronze medal being won. Across two weekends of competition the club has won a total of ten gold, nine silver and five bronze medals which is a phenomenal effort by our juniors! A special mention to Hugh Parrott who upon entering the call room realised he had left his spikes at home! A quick SOS over the track PA system and Luke Sinn generously loaned his spikes to Hugh so he could compete.
AVSL Round 4 – Relays Round + Powerplay
This weekend is the inaugural Relays Round where track events will be contested as relays! The round will also be our powerplay round where our total score will be doubled! The day promises to be exciting and fun and with teams to be pre-entered by DAC across all age groups with on the day entries also being accepted.
Athletes who did not purchase the AVSL/Max Package when registering must purchase an individual shield round 4 entry prior to Wednesday 6th via the AV portal. Athletes who attend and compete on the day can purchase a trial entry, however their relay team will not score points.
We want to strongly urge all members to compete at Doncaster on Saturday so we can get as big a score as possible and to enter a field event where possible. Pre-entries close at midday on Wednesday so please make sure you are entered prior to this.

Please ensure that you report to the admin desk located in the clubrooms to sign in for duty. If you are unable to commit to this duty, please contact our Secretary (Darryl Kilmartin secretary@doncasterac.org.au) so that arrangements can be made to swap duties with another family.
We would also like to encourage all athletes and parents to assist with pack up from around 5pm onwards when the program has been completed, even if you can assist for half an hour your help will be greatly appreciated.

Pre-entries for field events have filled up rapidly, as of 9pm tonight the following field events still have spots available:
Javelin Sheet 4pm (Throw & Go) and Sheet 6 (5:30pm)
Long Jump 2:15pm (Sheet 4), 3pnm (Sheet 6), 4pm (Sheet 7 and 8) and 5pm (Sheet 9 and 10)
Shot Put All sheets still available
High Jump 3pm (1.35m-1.75m) and 1pm (ELITE ONLY 1.65m+)
Relay Championships availability: Saturday 23rd of November (Box Hill)
There are three weeks left until the Relay Championships and we are starting to select teams so thank you to athletes who have indicated their availability.
If you are interested but have not yet contacted your summer team manager, please do so before Saturday 16th as teams must be entered by Sunday the 17th.
