In the fourth round of Shield competition, Doncaster again beat Collingwood in the Men’s Open competition with a big turnout in the sprints. The men’s under 16 again triumphed over Diamond Valley, so both these teams are in the running for a venue win. Doncaster is also dominating the men’s under 14, as are the women’s under 18. The Women’s under 14 team had their first win over Preston.

The highlight of the round was Declan Carman breaking his own club record (which was set two weeks ago) in the Under 18 Discus with a throw of 63.97m, in the same event Owen Rice broke the Under 15 club record with his 53.68m throw. Congratulations to both Declan and Owen for these outstanding performances.
This weekend there is no interclub due to the Victorian All-Schools T&F Championships. The club wishes the best of luck to all members competing in the Championships.
