Following Round 5 of XCR
The winter season has seen a great turn out from DAC Masters Athletes, both teams flourishing with fantastic depth of talent. Men 40+ have had a total of 14 registered, and 5 invitation athletes coming along; at one round completing 5 relay teams. Women 40+ have had a total of 6 registered and 3 invitation athletes participating.
Graham Ford has taken the initiative to recognise the efforts of Masters Athletes by having our own set of club records (5 year age categories). A birthday and new age group is then celebrated by us all! There’s a shot at a club record as well as scoring more points in the summer season. This is all with the aim of having us continue to strive and be involved. Club records include the establishment of winter records, though if changes are made to a course (such was the case at Anglesea), a new record is then added! All of the first 5 rounds of the XCR season have seen the following new records being achieved:
