Dear D.A.C members,

I hope by now you are all aware that the new track is now open and this Tuesday 23rd March the club will hold our handicap events, which include the,

  • Peter Ruff 100m
  • Tom Kelly Memorial 2000m Steeple
  •  Ivan Harding 800m
  •  Adam Robertson Javelin
  •  David Baxter Memorial 4x100m Handicap Relay

We ask everyone wishing to compete in the 100m to get to the track at 5pm, so we can sort out heats. We are hoping to start at 5.30pm which event to follow on. Even if you’re not competing please come down to watch and support D.A.C members, we will also need help in running the events.

I understand that has been a tough few months for D.A.C members not having use of the track, and there has been poor communication, in letting members know what’s happening with coaching and for those who are not on social media poor notification about the above event. I would like to apologise for that.

Please know that the committee is working extremely hard in finding new coaches, we are also investing in members becoming coaches. If you are interested in becoming a coach or still having problems with your coaching please contact myself A.S.A.P.

Congratulations to the Women’s open teams and Men’s Open team for taking out the red zone championships. There have been some fantastic individual results from D.A.C members in the shield competition. It has been great to see so many athletes trying new events to get points for the club. I would like to thank all the members and officials who have travelled out to the Epping track, I understand it a long drive for a lot of people.

The clubs AGM and Presentation night will be held on Sunday 13th April at 5pm at the club rooms. There will be a pizza dinner and a guest speaker. The club will also present it new uniform to the members. If you have any problems please contact myself.

Thankyou

Adrian Patti

D.A.C President
