The 2021/22 Season is about to fire up again

Entries are now open for Round 7 of AVSL next Saturday the 15th of January which is a twilight meet at Lakeside Stadium beginning at 4pm. Events contested are: sprint hurdles, 100m, 800m, 3000m, 5000m, Hammer, Shot Put, Triple Jump and High Jump. The timetable has been attached to this email.

100m and 800m races are being held in two sessions. To assist with entry on the portal, here is a list of times for each of the two sessions. Members are free to choose whichever session is most convenient.

Session 1:
4pm Women’s 800m
4:30pm Men’s 800m
5pm Men’s 100m
6pm Women’s 100m

Session 2

5:30pm Women’s 800m
6pm Men’s 800m

6:45pm Men’s 100m

7:45pm Women’s 100m

Entries close on Wednesday 12th so make sure you get in quickly, especially for field events.

January 

Saturday 15th – AVSL Round 7, Lakeside (twilight)
Saturday 22nd – AVSL Round 8, Duncan MacKinnon and Aberfeldie. Powerplay round 

Wednesday 26th – Victorian Relay Championships, Lakeside Stadium.

February 

Saturday 5th – AVSL Round 9, Casey Fields and Aberfeldie 

Saturday 12th – AVSL Round 10, Lakeside Stadium (AM and PM sessions available) 

Friday 18th – Sunday 20th – Victorian T&F Championships Weekend 1, Lakeside Stadium (entries open)

Friday 25th – Sunday 27th  – Victorian T&F Championships Weekend 2, Lakeside Stadium (entries open)

Relay Championships update: 

A big thank you to our members who have informed us about their availability for the championships. At this stage, we are looking at entering twenty five teams across all age groups.

Draft teams are being finalised and will be sent out next week.
Members of the Open Men’s 4x400m team will need to compete in the 4×400 at AVSL at Duncan MacKinnon on January 22nd to qualify for the championships.
