By Graham Ford
With competition at Knox and Werribee, there were a number of athletes missing this week, but Paul and David stepped up and scored over 1500 points each. We now have four competitors in the 1500 with Leighton Kearney and Graham Ford competing in that event. Both were recovering from injury, and should improve.
Unfortunately Jim Poulter has injured himself, so won’t have the opportunity to compete in enough rounds to make the finals.
Teams at the moment look like:
100 metres: Paul Mierisch, David Firth, Warren Hattwich, Graham Ford (Darryl Kilmartin)
400 metres: David Firth, Campbell McLennan, Paul Mierisch, Warren Hattwich (Darryl Kilmartin)
1500 metres: Campbell McLennan, Darryl Kilmartin, Leighton Kearney, Graham Ford
3000 steeple: John Curry
100 metres hurdles: Graham Ford
