The last round of the Shield Competition saw athletes traveling to Nunawading and Meadowglen. The weather was most unpleasant for athletics, with some rain and strong winds most of the day.

Undefeated all year, the Men’s Under 14 team easily won the Zone Championship and should be very competitive in the Shield Final, though there will be strong competition from Essendon and Wyndham.

In spite of a good win in the final round, the Men’s Under 16 missed by one point, but will be competing in the Shield Final. Other teams to finish second, and so become eligible for the Shield Final include: Men’s Open, Men’s 40+, Women’s Open, Women’s Under 20 and Women’s Under 18, a great effort. Teams placed third in the Men’s Under 18 (equal) and Women’s under 14.
